Bloke 1 (dressed as some sort of indiscriminate alien): “So who are you dressed as?”

Gordon (dressed as Guy Gardner from the Green Lantern Corps): ”I’m a superhero called Guy Gardner, he’s a Green Lantern.”

Bloke 1: “Oh, I’ve never heard of him. But I will tell you a fact about Green Lantern. Bruce Lee played Green Lantern in a TV pilot in the 60’s, but it never got picked up as a series.”

Gordon: “Um, no, Bruce Lee’s big break was in the ‘Green Hornet’ TV show, it ran for a whole series. It was pretty popular actually, but Bruce Lee played Kato, who was the Green Hornet’s sidekick. Anyway, that’s an entirely different character to the Green Lantern...”

Yogi (dressed as Hermione): “Yeah, I always get Green Lantern and Green Arrow mixed up...”

Gordon: “Okay honey, thanks for helping to clear that up.”

Girl 1 (dressed as a witch): “I know the one you’re talking about, but he’s usually a villain isn’t he?”

Gordon: “No, I mean, Gardner’s pretty abrasive, but I’m pretty sure he’s always a hero.”

Girl 1: “Yeah, but he was fighting Spider-man in that movie”

Gordon: “Are you sure you’re not thinking of the Green Goblin?”

Bloke 1: “And who’s the fella off the sweetcorn tins?”

Gordon: “That would be the Green Giant.”
