The Monologues
In the introduction to the Bruce Willis revisionist super-hero movie 'Unbreakable', it is stated that the average comic book collector owns 3,312 comics. I don't have a clue how many I own to date, but I'll admit it's probably around that neighbourhood.
In 2007, for a number of reasons, both creative and economical, I drastically cut down the number of new, mainstream comics I was purchasing, and instead looked back to review some of the comics in my 15+ year collection. Many of these I had not read in the decade or so since I initially purchased them. From Tintin to Preacher, McFarlane to McLoud, these were the comics which inspired the creativity in me, overtly and subconsciously.
The notes which follow are a record of this review, a retrospective roadmap of my comics collection, from 1990-2007. You can browse the entries by date below, or by title from the Alphabetical index.
